Work informed by examining the algae collections at the Natural History Museum, thanks to Jo Wilbraham (Senior curator,Algae)for her generous support.
I was particularly interested at the algae and botanical collections of Jessica Hussey, a local Port Elliot woman who collected specimens from the Port elliot environs in the 1890's.
